When you marry your soulmate you never prepare for their death. You just prepare to spend the rest of your life with that person. Death is often the last thing on people’s minds. But death is a very real thing and it is important to prepare yourself both mentally and financially in the event it does happen. Never think that it can never happen to you. If you have that mindset, when it does actually happen to you, you will really have a hard time picking up the pieces. So how do you pick up the pieces? How do you prepare for something like this? Well, it’s definitely not an easy task and honestly I never really looked into it all until now. I’ve just been living happily with my husband and kids and have not really discussed what the plans will look like if either of us passes away. The recent death of my longtime friend Henry’s wife has really caused my husband and I to think about the whole idea of what life would be like if we were experiencing what Henry is going through right now.
