Popstar Rhianna aka “Riri” launched her cosmetic line Fenty Beauty last year. Her line created a major buzz on the internet. One the items from her line responsible for this buzz was the Fenty Beauty foundation. Why you may ask? well this foundation is amazing in that it offers a true match for all skin tones from the lightest skin tones to the darkest. This foundation is matte and is very drying, but the line offers a hydrating primer which is applied prior to the foundation application to provide hydration as well as a flawless look. The foundation looks and feels like skin creating that “no makeup look” it is not heavy it is light weight and buildable allowing you to cover up some of your imperfections. If you are looking for an everyday foundation this is your foundation.
What I didn’t Like About this foundation
I dislike the fact that this foundation oxidizes really bad. It oxidizes, meaning that it darkens with prolonged wear. So, this means that although you may find your exact shade match, the color could change while you have it on. As a result, I suggest that before you purchase this item you get a sample of your color match as well as the next shade up from that. Sephora’s allows you to get samples that you can take home with you. Secondly, I did not like that for some reason it did not blend in with the concealers I typically use which are LA Girl Pro and Tarte’s shape tape. I even tried changing the concealer colors but it still did not look right to me.
